Three-layer black disposable face masks. These disposable masks are medical grade and meet the Type II standard. Therefore, they are suitable for medical use and are approved for use as third party protection in hospital and nursing care – also as a surgical mask. The mask is three-layered and thanks to the integrated filter layer, it achieves an excellent filtering capacity of 98% BFE. Type II masks have been proven to protect against airborne/droplet infection.
The masks have elastic loops and adjustable nose clips. Important: The nose clip must be pressed tightly against the nose so that the mask is as close to the face as possible and is as effective as possible.

What is a type II medical face mask?
Only 3-layer masks tested according to EN 14683 are considered medical face masks and protect against infection. These face masks have an integrated filter layer that is particularly fine and can filter out the smallest particles from the air. In this way, medical masks provide a high level of protection, as they also filter pathogens and prevent their spread or transmission.

Medical face masks are classified into three categories based on their bacterial filtration efficiency (BFE):

Type IIR – Highest Protection: Excellent filter performance > 98% (according to BFE) and resistant to liquid splashes or contaminated body fluids.
Type II: Excellent filter performance > 98% (according to BFE), reliably protects against airborne contaminated aerosols.
Type I: Good filter performance > 95% (BFE), cheaper option, with lower filter performance than Type II.
